Independent Celebrant
I am based in the North East in Teesside and I am an actor, director, producer, and storyteller.
I am a trained Celebrant with over ten years experience of leading and creating ceremonies. I specialise in ceremonies that are a little different, I speak from the heart and aim to reflect the real nature of the people I am speaking about. I work both outdoors and indoors, and can deliver traditional ceremonies as well as those with a specific theme or personality.
I am creative and imaginative with a sense of fun and playfulness.
Whatever your event, I will work hard to craft something that is a reflection of all that you are, is beautiful and memorable and designed just for you.

Who Am I ?
Children's Author
As a child I was an avid reader and wrote my first 40 page story when I was 7. Inspired by my Dad describing the gruesome details of keelhauling I wrote about Captain Annie, a swashbuckling lady pirate, without knowing that the first documented female pirate was called Annie!
I continued to write plays and films with young people, or for young people. A couple of years ago, we were on holiday in the Lake District and it rained almost every day. We were surrounded by a pretty wood, the sort I would imagine in a fairy tale. So I thought I’d use the wood as inspiration for a story. A couple of days later we drove past a run down club with a faded sign of the name above it, Joe Bananas. The name Joey Bananas seemed to work and so I spent three days trying to get Joey into the forest. Try as I might, he wouldn’t go, so I reluctantly realised his story wasn’t in the forest; but someone else’s would be.
Joey then came to life in a run down seaside town alongside Buttons, inspired by our dog, Noodle. I’ve always been involved in theatre and films, so why I wrote about an artist is any one’s guess! I was only going to write the first book, but I realised there was more to find out about him, and so I’ve continued.
As for who lives in the forest. Well she hasn’t got a name yet, but I know she’s there and you’ll be able to find her in The Girl Who Called Down The Moon...
